These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of VerifyMyDocs, a document verification platform operated by VerifyDocsNow LLC. By creating an account, submitting documents, requesting verification links, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Our Service
VerifyMyDocs provides tools that help users request, upload, review, and analyze applicant-submitted financial documents, including bank statements and pay stubs. The service may use automated document checks, fraud-risk indicators, file-validation controls, metadata review, OCR, and other verification methods.
The service is designed to support document review workflows. It does not guarantee that every fraudulent document will be detected or that every legitimate document will be approved automatically. Some documents may require manual review.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding agreement to use the service. If you use the service on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business to these Terms.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate account information and to notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
4. Proper Use of the Service
You agree not to use the service to:
- Upload malware, executable files, or harmful content.
- Submit documents you do not have permission to use.
- Attempt to bypass security, upload, billing, or access controls.
- Access another user's cases, documents, or account data.
- Use the service for unlawful discrimination or unlawful screening.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the service.
- Misrepresent verification results or alter reports.
5. Uploaded Documents
The service may process sensitive documents, including bank statements, pay stubs, identity-related details, applicant names, contact information, employer information, income information, upload metadata, IP addresses, and device/browser information.
You represent that you have the necessary rights, permissions, and lawful basis to upload, request, process, or review documents through the service. If you send an applicant a verification link, you are responsible for ensuring the request is lawful and appropriate for your use case.
6. Verification Results
Verification results, risk scores, fraud indicators, and manual review recommendations are informational tools. They are not legal, financial, employment, tenant-screening, or credit decisions. You are responsible for your final decisions and for complying with all laws that apply to your use of verification results.
If you use the service in connection with rental, housing, employment, lending, or other regulated decisions, you are responsible for determining whether additional legal obligations apply, including notice, consent, adverse action, recordkeeping, or anti-discrimination requirements.
7. Applicant Links
Applicant upload links are intended only for the person or entity receiving the request. You agree not to publish, share, or misuse applicant links. We may expire, revoke, or disable links for security, abuse-prevention, or operational reasons.
8. Billing and Plans
Some features may require a paid plan or scan credits. Prices, scan limits, billing intervals, and included usage may be shown at checkout or on the billing page. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge applicable subscription fees, taxes, and any prepaid scan packs you choose to purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing or plan limits prospectively by updating the service or giving notice where required.
9. Third-Party Services
The service may rely on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, storage, payment processing, email delivery, SMS delivery, analytics, OCR, security monitoring, and other infrastructure. Your use of the service may be subject to those third parties' terms where applicable.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect uploaded documents and account data. However, no internet-based service is completely secure. You are responsible for using strong passwords, protecting your account, and limiting access to sensitive verification results.
11. Data Retention
We may retain documents, case data, audit information, and billing records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, maintain security, and improve our systems. Retention periods may vary based on plan, settings, and legal requirements.
When you delete a case from your dashboard, it is hidden from your user dashboard but may remain available to authorized internal administrators for up to 90 days for fraud prevention, security, support, audit, dispute-resolution, and abuse-prevention purposes.
12. Intellectual Property
The service, software, design, branding, workflows, and related materials are owned by VerifyDocsNow LLC or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the service. You retain any rights you have in documents you upload or submit.
13. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service if we believe you have violated these Terms, created security risk, failed to pay required fees, abused the service, or used the service unlawfully.
14. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect accuracy, detection of all fraud, or that every document can be processed. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VerifyDocsNow LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
16. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VerifyDocsNow LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your uploaded content, your decisions based on verification results, or your violation of these Terms.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
